Last year RK Joinery and Building were contracted to completely renovate the Bosville Hotel in Portree on the Isle of Skye. The project had to be completed within 4 months to have the hotel ready for the busy tourist season on the Isle of Skye. The hotel reception area was renovated with new wall paneling and decoration added and all the hotel corridors were renovated.
As the build developed it was decided to upgrade the existing heating system. RK Joinery and Building installed a new Gas heating system sub contracting Urquhart plumbers. The new system provided central heating to all the rooms and public areas. A new plant room had to be constructed to contain the new heating system behind the hotel.
The hotel room en-suites were reconfigured to incorporate new Italian porcelain tiling and marble top vanity units with sit on top basins. The rooms themselves were also completely renovated including bespoke hand made bed heads and new wallpaper chosen by the interior designer.
Speaking of the completed project, Perle Hotels Director Angela Findlay added "RK Joinery recently completed a hotel refurbishment project for us in Portree on the Isle of Skye. The project had a tight time scale and required a detailed, high quality finish. Robert and his team completed a fantastic job with the hotel with careful management of the budget and schedule. The team were courteous and professional throughout the project. I have no hesitation in recommending RK Joinery to anyone considering a Highland building project."
RK Joinery and Building managing director Robert Macqueen added "Due to unique challenges and time constraints as a result of evolving project requirements, we were happy to bring the contract in on time and in budget."
The build was featured in an article in Homes and Interiors Scotland which can be read by clicking here.
